What is funny is that all the aftermarket stock pipe size intercoolers have smaller inlets and outlets than stock. The stock intercoolers have plastic tanks with thin 2 inch outside diameter hose connections. All the aftermarket 2 inch intercoolers have cast aluminum tanks that are very thick and make the inside diameter MUCH smaller. The average cast inlet and outlets are about 1 3/4" inside diameter. The cores are better on the aftermarket intercoolers, but the tank inlets and outlets are horrible and smaller than stock in every case. The Ash intercoolers are not only 2.5" inlets and outlets, but they are also thin wall tube welded to the cast tank to allow the maximum openings.
